Friday Night Sew In Results: Thread Doodling, Studios Magazine Article, and Happy Father's Day

Sometimes I just need to play around doodling on my sewing machine and that is what I did for the Friday Night Sew In.

It gave me some free motion practice and a nice potholder made from an extra quilt block that I didn't know what to do with.

My sister did it again!  She has an article in Cloth, Paper, Scissors "Studios" Magazine called
"Quilting With Mom And Me".  I do not own a copy at this moment, but I did have the opportunity to read the article--she even mentioned me!

Every quilter needs a Dad to inspire and I'm blessed with a Dad that does wonderful artwork with his scroll saw.  He always is there to support our family.

.
Happy Father's Day Dad and thank you for being there for me!

Happy Quilting!

That's one sharp-looking dad and Farmall!

Kay Lynne, your "doodling" is awesome. What a great way to use a leftover block, practice your skills, and make something useful to boot!
