Ava's Doll Blanket & Too Much Snow!

I have a three year old niece that lives out of state.  Her family is such a joy to be around.  One thing that Ava doesn't have is a doll blanket made by Aunt Kay!  So this week this small quilt will be heading out of state to a special little girl.

Be sure to click on the pictures so you can see the machine quilting up close.  I'm still working on my leaves.  Hopefully, my leaves will get better over time.  Overall I'm happy with the results.  If you want to try the Free Motion Posies, just click on the tutorial on the right.  I've been experimenting with using different colors of thread as I quilt and I really like the results.

The backing is a flannel that I had on hand that I thought that Ava would enjoy!

I like snow, but we're getting way too much of it.  I did enjoy the two snow days off of work last week.

After Dean had cleared out our driveway, it snowed another six inches!
I'm ready for spring!

Here's a cake that I did at the bakery last week that I thought you would enjoy seeing.

Happy Quilting!

That is one beautiful doll blanket!! And you did an amazing job with the quilting!!
I hope spring gets there soon. I only like to see the snow on pictures. I hate it in real life. I am glad we don´t get snow where we live!
The cake looks yummy!!!!
